”TARTÜF 24” Play Was A Huge Success In Famagusta
The play “Tartüf 24”, written by the master of humour Moliere, adapted by Nazım Hikmet and directed by Yaşar Ersoy, was staged at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Centre (KÜKOM) on Thursday 14th November.
Theatre lovers filled the hall for the political comedy vote Tartüf 24. At the end of the play, the Mayor of Famagusta and the master theatre actor Yaşar Ersoy announced that the Cyprus Theatre Festival will come to life again in 2025 with the cooperation and solidarity of the Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, Famagusta (Gazimağusa) Municipality and Girne Municipality.
At the end of the play, the artists received a standing ovation and were presented with flowers by Mayor Uluçay.
Master theatre actor Yaşar Ersoy thanked the Famagusta (Gazimağusa) Municipality, which organized the play Tartüf 24, and the mayors of Lefkoşa, Famagusta and Girne Municipalities, Mehmet Harmancı, Dr. Süleyman Uluçay and Murat Şenkul, who showed cooperation and solidarity for the Cyprus Theatre Festival.
