MAD MAX LEGACY and fabulous ROCK N ROLL for Charity at SOULIST

It was truly a historical night last Saturday when ‘MAD MAX LEGACY’, the first German rock band in the TRNC (K.K.T.C), performed at the SOULIST Coffee and Music House in Alasancak.

It was a great night for Rock’n Roll and the Champion Angels Association (Famagusta). ‘MAD MAX LEGACY’ knew how to reach the hearts of the audience with an overwhelming concert with the aim of raising as much money as possible for the Champion Angels. The team around Alper Cengiz and Roland Eyerich collected donations before and during the concert. Many thanks to Neşe Yurtsever, who supported the team in this endeavour.

To make all this possible and to realise this big deal – to bring a German rock band to Northern Cyprus – you need supporters without whom such an event would not be possible.

Melissa Kanatli and Milinda Altunay

Firstly, the initiative ‘Flight tickets for ’MAD MAX LEGACY’ which was founded in Germany and which made it possible to bring the band to the TRNC. Special mention must be made of the ‘Project Melissa Kanatli for MADMAX’ – (from the High School – Gymnasium Hilden close to Düsseldorf), who was particularly involved. On the other hand the Free Airport and Band transfer during the stay of Ozy Taxi and to the Almond Hotel – Alsancak for Free Accomadation… Without these supporters and co-operation this concert would not have been possible

Now the Concert for the Champion Angels

The All Star Cyprus Rock Band ‘Cyprus Rock Company’ kicked off the evening and really fired up the audience. Thanks to the soulist friends: Naim Korudağ, Koray Bali, Ed Sezener, Maral Useinov and Nicky Louder, who once again impressed with a great performance, followed by MAD MAX LEGACY, who then literally set the stage on fire. What A blast – what energy on stage

Dethy Borchert (Lead Guitar), Axel Kruse (Drums), Fab Savage (Bass), Steven Screamz (vocal) and Juergen Breforth (Rhythm Guitar) convinced with their programme – It was 40 years of MAD MAX with the just released album ‘Best of 40 Years MAD MAX’ – simply great with which energy these 40 years of MAD MAX were presented on stage – above all, the new singer Steven Screamz, who had so internalised these SONGS, took the audience with him and the 40 years of MAD MAX could be celebrated on stage and with the audience. Of course the other musicans supported him great for an incredible Night of MADMAX.

“Applause and hearts for the group ‘MAD MAX LEGACY’, who came from Germany and gave this benefit concert in favour of the ‘Champion Angels Association’! And before the encore by ‘MAD MAX LEGACY’, the big moment for the organisers, the Soulist Friends Across Borders team ‘Alper Cengiz and Roland Eyerich’, was the handover of the donation for Champion Angels – the two organisers were totally surprised because they were able to hand over the sum of 50,000 TL to Ruşen Yücesoylu Karakaya (Head of Champion Angels). They had not expected this

Thanks to everyone who supported this campaign.
