Gazimağusa Municipality Police Seized 448 Kilos Of Illegal Meat
Famagusta (Gazimağusa) Municipality Police Unit’s (Zabita) effective inspections of workplaces aiming to control the consumption of food by the public in healthy conditions continue without slowing down.
Within the scope of the inspections carried out by the Police Unit today 13th November 2024 , 448 kilograms of large and small ruminant meat, which was found to be illegal, was seized in the refrigerator of a workplace operating as a butcher within the borders of Famagusta Municipality.
Legal action was taken against the workplace and 448 kilograms of meat found to be illegal was confiscated.
Municipality Police continue inspections
Famagusta Municipality Police Unit Officer Harun Oza emphasized that inspections will be carried out effectively throughout the city for the welfare, peace and health of the people.
The Police Unit continues to carry out inspections and procedures regarding scrapyard vehicles that are idle in the city, Oza stated that the inspections of workplaces such as school canteens, butchers and markets where the public consumes food continue diligently and routinely, and underlined that no lawlessness aimed at disturbing the order and peace of the city is being tolerated.
