Signing a Protocol
CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri, on the other hand, stated that universities have basic duties such as education, training, research and serving the society, that they work with this vision, and that their main duty is to transfer this knowledge to all institutions of our country, and to contribute scientifically to the region and the world, not just on the university campus. He noted that cooperating with Famagusta Municipality, one of the distinguished municipalities of our country, is included in the basic vision and mission, that this is their perspective as a university, and that cooperation is very important for serving the society, transferring knowledge to the society, developing the TRNC and equipping it with better services.
Pointing out that it is an important success that the TRNC, which has 24 universities, is among the top thousand with 3 universities in the ranking of the most respected universities in the world, Nadiri informed that CIU is also in the 601-800 band. He said that he believes that the winners of the joint work to be carried out will be both institutions and the TRNC, that the signing of the protocol will be beneficial and that good results will emerge, and thanked President Uluçay for giving them the opportunity to sign the protocol.
