Girne Ancient Harbour To Host The Leymosun Festival

The Leymosun reunion is taking place at the Ancient Harbour this year.

The 9th traditional Leymosun Festival, organized by the Leymosun Culture Foundation with contributions from the Girne Municipality, will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 18:00 at the Girne Ancient Harbour. According to the information provided by the Foundation, it was decided to hold the ‘Leymosun Festival’ at the Girne Ancient Harbour this year, instead of the picnic usually held at the Boğaz Picnic area.

The 9th traditional Leymosun Festival will feature performances by the group Otantik and Cypriot tunes, a folk dance show by Folk–Der, and local stalls offering food, drinks, and souvenirs.

Editor’s Note: The Leymosun Festival aims to bring together the Turkish Cypriot refugees from Limassol, to integrate them, and to keep alive the culture of Leymos by passing it on to future generations.
