Review of the Lido Restaurant in Kayalar.

Lido is situated in a small bay just off the Kayalar road; around 5 minutes from the super-night club area. The restaurant overlooks a bay and there is a well-groomed beach area with sunbeds and a small pontoon. 

The restaurant only opened two weeks ago but seems well established and staff are on the ball. Omar, the manager, has brought on a selection of pleasant and polite young staff and we were well looked after.

The menu is only available via a bar code, but with the not insignificant wind whipping in from the sea, this made sense.  The menu is ambitious and comprehensive.  We always worry when a new restaurant has a big menu but all meals we chose were very well done and tasty. Portion size is not huge, but certainly adequate (I doubt you will be taking doggy bags home, but that is fine!)

I had the Chicken Mexicano which was really spicy and delicious. My partner had Fajitas and these were also very nicely done.  Don’t expect any additional add-on, such as mini mese items.  This is a ‘what you order is what you get’ place.  Quality was overall very good and prices average for the area.  Cocktails at TL300 were pretty good, but not great. 

We will certainly try this charming place again in a month or so and suspect that things will get even better as the weeks go by.
